Police arrested three people on Thursday after finding drugs during a search of a Bangor apartment.

Agents from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, assisted by the Bangor Police Department and members of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, used a warrant to search the apartment on Charles Street.

There, agents seized more than 200 grams (about 0.4 pounds) of crack cocaine, more than 140 grams (about a quarter pound) of fentanyl, $11,287 in suspected drug proceeds and a loaded .40 caliber handgun, according to MDEA.

Police arrested three people who were in the apartment at the time of the search: Shameek Harris, 31, of New York City; Wenona Lola, 52, of Bangor; and Roger Brown, 43, of Bangor.

All three were charged with Class A aggravated drug trafficking because of the quantities of drugs and the presence of a firearm, according to MDEA.

They were brought to Penobscot County Jail where they are being held without bail.

The search followed a months-long investigation in which undercover agents bought fentanyl from the dealers, according to MDEA.
