Six-foot-8 Bangor native Landon Clark on Friday afternoon announced his commitment to play basketball at Princeton University.
Clark made the announcement via Instagram, saying, “Huge thanks to Coach Henderson, Coach MacConnell and the entire coaching staff [at Princeton] for this unbelievable opportunity. None of this would be possible without the support and sacrifices from my family. #GoTigers”
The 200-pound guard-forward played a key role in AAU team Maine United’s run at the Peach Jam alongside Cooper and Ace Flagg in July 2023, and he made the 66th annual BDN All-Maine first-team as a sophomore at Bangor in 2022.
Clark averaged 21.8 points (40 percent from three), 9.0 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 1.7 assists per game with the Rams his sophomore year.
Clark transferred to St. Paul’s School in Concord, New Hampshire after his sophomore year to further his athletic and academic development, and has since reclassified to the Class of 2025.
UMaine extended an offer to Clark in June 2022, as did Dartmouth College last month. Clark was selected to participate in the NBA’s Top 100 Camp this June.
