Motorcyclist dies after Maine collision

A Fairfield man died Wednesday after a pickup truck hit his motorcycle in Norridgewock.

Brock Peters, 29, was turning his red 2005 Yamaha motorcycle into a driveway off Ward Hill Road about 3:30 p.m. when he was hit by a 2006 Ford F-150 driven by 79-year-old Frederick Landry of Norridgewock, according to the Waterville Morning Sentinel.

Peters, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to Redington-Fairview General Hospital in Skowhegan, where he died, the Sentinel reported.

Landry wasn’t injured in the crash. He was hauling a trailer behind his Ford, according to the newspaper.

The crash remains under investigation.
